RIP: Czesław Niemen

So Czesław Niemen has died…

Definitely He was one of the most important polish musician, singer and composer of last decades. Great in rock, electronica, soul and ethno music. 

He was one of the Godfathers of our success at Nowa Tradycja festival in 2002. The chairman of jury that gave us Ist Prize, just behind Swoją Drogą’ Grand Prix. As people say, Niemen was really impressed by our music. That prize had big impact for our ‘career’. So it was like lightin’ the green light for STILO by Master.

Unfortunatelly we didn’t talk with Him then. He was for us so Big Name, hidden behind His hat, that we were a little afraid to do it.

We don’t do so many things in our life when it’s time for them…

Listening now Niemen’ album “Aerolit”… My God, it’s sometimes almost like STILO music, but with the vocal, moog and electric guitar!
