Our guests…

(17.08.2007)
So who were these guests?

Let’s start from the ex-members of Stilo – Sylwia Świątkowska and Marek Dutka. Sylwia arrived to help in building up violin-saxophone part of the last piece on the record, called then “No Name”. Marek was invited to play saxophone in the same place – he answered that he was still not play sax anymore but he could play on keyboard. So we have added a pinch of his big instrument to the “No Name”.

We had invited another two ex-musicians of Stilo – Damian Orłowski (violin) and Janusz Kossakowski (drums). First one just didn’t take the talks about it, second one is still abroad.

Third person who helped us during the session was Warsaw singer Marek Górka. Some years ago he was in the rock band Vahanara (with Wojtek and Tomek too). Now the band does not exist but the friendly contact do and Marek without any doubts agreed to sing in composition “Charles Bridge”. This is really old piece, but very re-built and Marek was important man in that process.

The fourth person was Mohammad Rasooli – citizen of Iran, living in Poland. Great musician and friendly man went to our session with two instruments: nay (kind of flute) and tar (string instrument). Finally we got his nay’ playing on the record – in the “Oxalis”, where he presents ancient persian style, as Mohammad told us.
