Portugal relief

Now something about last, special guests – musicians living few thousands kilometers away from our studio. They are singer Genoveva Faísca and guitarist Joăo Bengala, both from Lisbon. They have helped us in recording of composition called “Lisboa Avenue”.

How did they appear in this piece?

First there was Genoveva, found in the neverending space of MySpace (actually on her webside http://www.myspace.com/genovevafaisca). We have asked her of supporting us in one piece and she agreed. In Lisbon she have pre-recorded her voice to our demo, offering something more: part of guitarra portuguesa, played by her record engineer – Joăo. It was really interesting, so we have worked on it via e-mails and finally they have recorded their vocal and guitarra intro on our master tracks – all via e-mails. At the end of the process we have added pinch of sounds from Lisbon street (recording by Lisbon’ artist Carlos Santos) and the composition was ready.

That’s how we make our records in the internet era!

Of course we would like to meet with Genoveva and Joăo on the scene to play this piece together, maybe something more… Unfortunatelly this year is not possible, but we will try to do it in 2008.
