Our American Nomination!!!

Have we got the news for you! It is our great pleasure to let you know that the prestigious 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards nominated our last album “Lisboa Avenue” as one of the ten best albums in the „European Album” category.

 Just Plain Folks is a community/organization of over 51,500 songwriters, recording artists and music industry professionals from the United States and the rest of the world, founded in USA. It promotes independent music of all styles all over the world.

In this year’s awards nominations were chosen from over 42 000 albums and 560 000 songs from the US and over 160 countries.
 
The judges were to select nominees according to only one criterion: Does the music move you?

What does the “European Album” mean? Brian Austin Whitney, the chief of Just Plain Folks, explains:

“This is music made by artists from Europe that feature a European ethnic style of music and/or vocals performed in a native language of the country represented. There is a mixture of contemporary and traditional music styles. English is not excluded as long as the artist(s) originates and lives in a European country.”

The winners will be announced in August…
