The Stories of Stones had been told

(26.01.2012)
So Opowieści Kamieni Etno Tour (The Stories of Stones Etno Tour) is gone! Project, that lasted almost two years, was finished exactly in the same place where it was started – in Warsaw’ Pracovnia club. It’s pure coincidence, totally not planned. Interestin’, right?

All concerts played under this flag tasted as true adventure. We did not only dust few of our forgotten compositions, but showed some new ones, never heard by any listeners before. What’s most important: during this project the new incarnation of the band has been born, exactly before your faces. We’ve been growing up to acoustic, not noisy music. And to ourselves. It is experience much more profound than just playing notes from the paper. It is something that reaches to the very essence of being with people.

We didn’t close the door to persons remaining outside of these band’ processes. You saw on the stage people who added something – directly or indirectly – to our sounds. At first we’ve refreshed our Turkish “line” – we’ve played with our old band mates: two times with Alpago Polat (nay player) and one time with Serhan Kızılpınar (darbuka). And it was not only sentimental flashbacks but almost summits, full of energy and good moments. Then we had collaborated with great Polish female singers – Karolina Cicha and Magda Piskorczyk (with her excellent guitarist Ola Siemieniuk of course), and we were supported by splendid young Polish rock band – St. James Hotel. It was all like beautifull artistic melting pot, which maybe will have some reflections in the future. And beside musical histories there were meetings with our fans and listeners – old ones and new, who participated in our concerts. It was very important part of the “bussiness”.

Yes – we were really talkin’ to and tryin’ to listen to the Stones: what they said…
